Hello there, I'm Drywtler. A monster born between past and future tech on the 18th of May 2000.

Been playing videogames since I have memory. Started with famiclones with classic bootleg catridges such as 76-in-1, 48-in-1 (an inferior version of 64-in-1, which I also had for a while), etc. I have also played Flash games and emulated games on my dad's PC: MAME, a ROM Compilation of Genesis/Mega Drive games bundled with KEGA, N64. For my 10th birthday I got a (modchipped) PS2 which was a huge upgrade, but ironically I ended up playing more collections of older games than actual PS2 games, such as Megaman X Collection, Metal Slug Anthology, and Sonic Mega Collection Plus. A great console despite being the worst of it's generation spec-wise.

In 2013 I got a "free" netbook from the Conectar Igualdad One-to-one computing program, which had low-performing Intel Atom CPUs until later models, but could handle up to some PS1 games and Counter-Strike 1.6. While I played CS with my classmates almost everyday, I veered towards Half-Life, which later became one of my favorite videogame franchises (apart from Sonic, to some extent). Funnily enough I finished the main campaign first on the PS2 release because while I tried to beat it on the PC version many times, I ended up playing deathmatch instead. Haven't finished Decay on the PS2 but with a friend on PC with the mod version.

In 2018 I got a notebook that, while a big upgrade to that netbook, it was a bit limited, but it was fine for what I needed it. Could play some games better and other ones that the prior could never ran, but Microsoft's enforcement of updating everyone to Windows 10 1903 and beyond made it take a performance hit from which it never recovered. So in conclusion, I'm a retro gamer not by nostalgia, but by available hardware (a.k.a. my pc fucking sucks)

I've been making videogame-related content on the internet since 2014 in many ways: Let's plays youtube channel, modding GoldSrc games, streaming, and as of recently, Doom mapping. Been also dipping my feet into game development on Godot, we'll see where that ends up...

Here's my Backloggd if you want to check out what I played. It's under construction so it may not reflect my gaming experience with precision.
